Configure Gps On The Mc70

Motorola's hand-held MC70 is a mobile computer capable of cell phone, computer, PDA, scanner, GPS and imaging operations -- simultaneously. It is usually operated by field representatives in retailing or industrial applications. If you want to configure your MC70 for GPS functions, you'll have to ensure that your device is operating with the most current GPS driver. After that, it's just a matter of studying your voluminous user guide (see Resource).

Instructions

1. Turn on your MC70 and its Web-ready host computer, then connect the two with your USB adapter.

2. Navigate to the Motorola MC70 GPS Driver Download website (see References), scroll to the bottom of the page, then click on "Request Download." Enter in your Motorola username and password, and press "Login". Choose "Click here to continue" to set up a new account. Return to this page after setting up an account, and sign in.

3. Click "Download", below "MC7094 GPS Firmware to 3.5P2", then select "Save File." Put the file on your computer. After it has downloaded, double-click its icon, and select "Run." Follow the prompts to update your MC70's GPS driver, and configure its direction-finding capabilities.
