If you unlock a HTC TyTN you can use the phone with SIM cards from any cell service provider. Cell phones arrive from the service providers "locked" for use solely on their network. Instructions
1. Write down the IMEI for the HTC TyTN. This code is the unique identification number required to generate an unlock code. Dial "*#06#" to display the IMEI on screen.
2. Search the database of an online mobile unlocking service for the availability of an HTC unlock code. Every company allows you to search by brand, model and carrier. Prices vary from website to website and carrier to carrier.
3. Fill out the order form with your IMEI and other required information to receive the unlock code via email after purchase.
4. Turn off the HTC and remove the battery and SIM card. Replace the SIM card with one from another network and turn on the phone.
5. Enter the PIN number of the new SIM card if necessary.
