Delete Programs From Windows Mobile

Windows Mobile is the operating system found on phones and devices such as the HP iPAQ and HTC Dash. It is a condensed version of the Windows operating system found on computers. Windows Mobile enables you to install and run a number of applications. However, you can also uninstall the applications that you are no longer using and free memory on your device.


Instructions


Using Your Device


1. Tap the "Start" menu on the home screen on your device and tap "Settings."


2. Tap the "System" tab and tap "Remove Programs." You should see a list of the programs on your device in the "Programs in storage memory" window.


3. Tap the program you want to uninstall and tap "Remove." Repeat this step to remove additional programs.


Using Windows Mobile Device Center


4. Download and install the free Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) application (see Resources).


5. Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable and launch WMDC.


6. Click "Programs and Services" in the application and click "More." Click "Add/Remove Programs." You should see a list of the programs on your device.


7. Click to deselect (clear the check box next to) the programs that you want to uninstall and click "OK." Windows removes the deselected programs and leaves the programs that have check marks next to them.


8. Disconnect your device from the computer when you finish.
