Make A 21st Birthday Shot Book

Make a 21st Birthday Shot Book

In America the 21st birthday represents a time to go to the bar legally for the first time and consume more alcohol than you may ever consume in your life. So, one great gift idea for a friend who is turning 21 and who can now purchase alcohol on his own, so he can experiment more with mixed drinks, is a Shot Book.

Instructions

1. Decide on a theme for the shot book. Perhaps your friend likes fruity drinks so you would like to gather a collection of shot recipes with a fruity theme. Or maybe they have a favorite kind of liquor that you want to theme the shot book around. Choosing a theme, whatever it is, will allow you to get more creative with your shot book, and it will also make the gift feel more personalized for its recipient.

2. Choose a good amount of recipes that fit in your theme and print them out or copy and paste them to a word document. If you copy and paste them to a word document then you can play around with the font, background and border before you print the recipe, which will allow you to make your shot book more decorative. If you simply print the recipes directly off of the website then you can cut them out and use scrap booking supplies to make your shot book extra special.

3. Punch holes in each page for your shot book so that they can be placed in the binder, or you can slip the pages into those clear protective sheets and put those in the binder instead. Make sure that you leave room in the binder for your friend to add recipes that they find along the way that they would like to keep.

4. Decorate the cover of the shot book however you choose. You can use stickers, permanent markers, rhinestones and whatever else you can find at your local craft store.
