Reset The Android Phone From Verizon

You can reset the Motorola Droid three ways. If you need to reset the phone and clear the data, you can hard reset the device through the menus or using a keyboard shortcut. If you just need to reset the phone without wiping your data, you can soft reset it using the Phone Options screen.


Instructions


Soft Reset


1. Press and hold the Power button.


2. Release the power button when the "Phone options" menu appears.


3. Tap "Reboot" to reset the phone without wiping any data.


Menu Hard Reset


4. Open the main menu on the phone and tap "Settings."


5. Touch "Privacy" and open "Factory data reset."


6. Tap "Reset phone" to reset and wipe the data.


Keyboard Hard Reset


7. Turn off the phone. If the phone is frozen and will not turn off, remove the battery and put it back in.


8. Hold down the "x" key on the keyboard, then press the Power button.


9. Release the buttons when a yellow triangle icon appears on the screen.


10. Hold down the camera key and up volume button to open the menu.


11. Highlight "wipe data/factory reset" using the directional keys and press the center button.


12. Select "Yes" and press the center directional pad button.
