Configure Windows Mobile 6 Smartphones For Microsoft Exchange

You can configure your Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6 to synchronize with a computer that has Microsoft Exchange Server installed. Many companies use Microsoft Exchange Server for their email services, so an employee can set up his Smartphone to retrieve company email while he's out of the office. The steps will be similar for all Smartphones and here's do it on an HTC PPC6800.

Instructions

1. Tap Start, Messaging and New E-mail Account.

2. Enter your email address. The "Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet" checkbox should be cleared if it is not already. Tap Next.

3. Select Exchange Server from the "Your e-mail provider" list that is now available, and tap Next. Tap Next again.

4. Fill in the name of the Exchange Server in the server address box and tap Next.

5. Type in your user name, password and domain. Tap Next when you complete this.

6. Click on Finish to complete the configuration of your Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone for Microsoft Exchange.
