Tomtom One Xl Vs Tomtom One Xl S

GPS devices are used to find a destination, determine its location and provide directions. TomTom manufactures several easy to use navigation systems. The ONE XL series lineup features a touch screen, provides Bluetooth support and a user-friendly interface for accurate directions.


Text to Speech


The TomTom ONE XL and the TomTom ONE XL-S are similar models with a few differences. One difference is the text to speech option the ONE XL-S offers. The ONE XL-S will provide real street names with spoken directions, while the ONE XL offers turn-by-turn directions.


MapShare


The ONE XL-S has NavCore version 7 installed on the device while the ONE XL does not have NavCore version 7 pre-installed. The latest version of NavCore can be upgraded with MapShare on the TomTom ONE XL.


RAM size


The older ONE XL has 32Mb of RAM and the XL-S has 64 Mb of RAM. The RAM difference allows the ONE XL-S to load and perform faster.


Price


The TomTom ONE XL-S is the upgraded, newest version of the TomTom ONE XL series. The cost of the ONE XL-S retails about $50 higher than the ONE XL.
