Resize Image To Fit Lg Dare

The screen resolution on the LG Dare is 220 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall. If you want to create your own background images, they will look best at the same resolution. You don't need fancy editing software to create wallpapers from your own images. You can use the Microsoft Paint program within Windows to resize and crop the pictures to fit your phone.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button on the Windows task bar, and select "All Programs."

2. Click "Accessories," and select "Paint" to open Microsoft Paint.

3. Click the down arrow at the top left corner of the window, and select "Open."

4. Choose the image you want to use as a wallpaper for your Dare.

5. Click "Resize" in the Image section at the top of the page to open the Resize and Skew window.

6. Select "Pixels" in the Resize section, and enter "220" the Horizontal text box. The numbers in the Vertical box will change automatically. Make sure the vertical number does not fall under 400. If it does, change the number in the Vertical box to 400 and see if the number in the Horizontal box falls under 220. If the resized image is less than 220 pixels wide by 400 pixels high, the phone will stretch the image to fit the screen, and it will look distorted.

7. Click "OK" to resize the image. It's likely that there will be too many pixels either horizontally or vertically. The current size of the image in pixels is shown in the third box at the bottom of the window.

8. Click the "Select" button, and select "Rectangular Selection." A series of small boxes will appear on the bottom and right side of the image.

9. Click inside the image and use the selection box to choose the part of the image you want to use as your background. The selected area must be 220 by 400 pixels. The size of the selected area shows in the second box on the bottom.

10. Click the "Crop" button at the top to crop the image; then click the down arrow on the top left, and select "Save."
