The JVC RX-805V is a receiver the company marketed in the early 1990s. The back side of this versatile piece of equipment is an array of sockets. It has inputs for a turntable, a CD player, two tape decks and two VCRs. It has a built-in AM/FM radio and two power outlets.

Sound
The RX-805V can pump out 100 W to four front speakers with 0.007 percent total harmonic distortion. The receiver additionally can put out 65 W for a center speaker and 20 W for rear speakers with 0.7 percent total harmonic distortion. It uses Dolby Pro Logic surround sound.
Input
Like many of JVC's audio products, the RX-805V comes with the A/V Compu Link control system and CSRP (Compu Link Source-Related Presetting). This technology allows any JVC products plugged into the receiver to communicate so that, for example, a JVC tape deck would not start to record until a CD in the JVC CD player started to play.
Output
Five amps drive seven speaker outputs, divided among four main speakers, two rear speakers and one center speaker. The receiver can also put out video. A seven-band graphic equalizer remembers five user-created presets in addition to five default configurations.
