Take family pictures in your swimming pool.
Whether in a coral reef or just at the bottom of a swimming pool, some of the best pictures are taken underwater. While the traditional hardware required to waterproof a camera usually is expensive, you can build your own underwater camera housing at little cost. This device will work with any camera or camcorder, digital or film.
Instructions
1. Lay the plastic bag flat, smooth it out, and place the porthole on the bag's center. Trace the porthole with a Sharpie.
2. Use an X-acto knife to cut a hole in one side of the bag roughly half an inch inside the traced line.
3. Mount the porthole inside the hole, allowing the extra half inch of plastic to drape over its rim.
4. Superglue the excess plastic onto the rim of the porthole, and wrap tightly in rubber bands. Apply superglue between each band.
5. Allow the glue to dry.
6. Insert your camera into the bag and place its lens directly behind the porthole. Re-seal the bag.
