The HTC Droid Incredible was designed with a memory card slot that allows you to expand the memory of the phone so that you can store more media and other data files. To safely remove the memory card from the HTC Incredible you need to first unmount if from the phone. Using the unmount utility prevents the loss of any data stored on the card.
Instructions
1. Push the "Home" button on the front of the Incredible and then the "Menu" button. The "Home" button has the symbol of a house.
2. Touch "Settings" on the screen, "SD Card & Phone Storage" and then "Unmount SD Card."
3. Turn the Incredible over and lift the battery compartment cover off of the back of the phone. The notch for the battery cover is located on the bottom of the Incredible.
4. Pull the battery out of the battery compartment to access the SD card holder, which is found on the left side of the battery compartment.
5. Press in on the card with your finger until you hear a click and then release the card. The SD card will pop out of the slot. Grip the card and pull it fully out of the phone.
