Copy Photos From A Computer To A Memory Card

Save pictures to a memory card.

If you have images stored on a computer, and you want to save and transfer those images onto another device, it is possible to do so with a variety of storage devices. External hard drives, USB flash drives and even memory cards are all options. A memory card functions just like a flash drive and is capable of saving data into its memory (just like a flash drive saves data onto its storage memory). However, in order to do so, you must have a memory card reader attached to the computer unless your computer has a built-in reader.

Instructions

1. Connect the memory card reader to your computer through the USB cable running out of the rear of the device.

2. Insert the memory card into the memory card reader. In a moment, the computer will state that it has detected a new, removable device.

3. Open the memory card reader's folder. A window will appear with all the files currently saved on the memory card.

4. Click and drag the photo or photos from the computer into the open memory card folder. The images may originate from any location on the system (it depends on where you saved the files).

5. Safely remove your device and the memory card.
