Use The Manfrotto Lever Tripod Head Handle On The Left Side

One of the most important pieces of equipment for a professional photographer or even an advanced amateur photographer is the tripod. But the key ingredient that is needed between the camera and the tripod is the tripod head. The Manfrotto lever tripod head handle is one of the few tripod heads that allow you to pan the camera by squeezing the trigger. The cumbersome screws and levers are replaced with a fluid ball head that is controlled by squeezing a trigger. It comes in the right-handed position out of the box but can easily be placed in the left-handed position.

Instructions

1. Remove the quick-release plate by pushing the lever to release the locking mechanism. Release the safety catch by rotating the safety pin. Pull the quick-release plate out and store in a safe place.

2. Unscrew the screws with the allen wrench that attach the quick-release plate to the tripod head. Remove the quick-release plate. Squeeze the trigger on the tripod head and flip the entire lever over so it is on the left-hand side instead of the right.

3. Remove the rubber stops that cover the screw holes on top of the lever now that it is flipped over. Place the quick-release base on top of the lever and align the holes of the base with the holes on the lever. Use the screws that were removed and screw the quick release base into place with the allen wrench.

4. Tighten the screws and place the quick-release plate back on the base. Use the rubber stops to cover the holes on the bottom to seal up the lever tripod head. Attach the Manfrotto lever tripod head handle to the tripod.
