Panasonic makes both the AG-HVX200 and the AG-HVX200A, which are professional handheld camcorders. Both of these camcorders offer high quality filming for different situations and filmers' needs.
Features
The AG-HVX200 is the original hand-held camcorder made by Panasonic; it was then followed with a new, more innovated product, the AG-HVX200A. Both cameras come with the following qualities DVCPRO HD quality, variable frame rates, multiple formats, P2 solid state memory cards, 3.5 inch color display, built-in flash and microphone, and resistance to vibration and temperature change. The Panasonic AG-HVX200A, however, offers the additional features of higher-resolution 3-CCD images and improved image performance with 1080p quality HD video. These additional features allow for lower smear and higher S/N ratio. This helps lower background noise, and allows for better filming in low light than the AG-HVX200.
Video
P2 Memory cards are in both the AG-HVX200 and AG-HVX200A. They allow you to shoot and store images on the solid state card. These also allow for easy transfer to computers and edit using any programs such as Apple, Avid, and Canopus. Both the Panasonic AG-HVX200 and the Panasonic AG-HVX200A offer HD quality video for high quality filming. The Panasonic AG-HVX200A films in 1080p, unlike the 720p used with the AG-HVX200. With 1080p you can shoot at 1,920x1080 pixels, allowing for the highest possible resolution for filming in HD and SD.
Prices
The Panasonic AG-HVX200A ranges from $3,179 to $5,999. The Panasonic AG-HVX200 ranges from $3,379 to $5,195.
