However, both types of cable can be combined using a splitter. The three supplied AAA batteries are for use with the remote control.

In addition to the RF connector, the Apex AT1302 has two sets of a yellow composite video connector and red-and-white stereo audio connectors. This can be used to hook up electronic devices such as video cassette recorders, DVD players, camcorders or video game consoles. Also included is an Separate Video port for S-Video compatible devices, including DVD players and satellite receivers.

Controls

The TV's remote control has 23 keys; it includes buttons for switching the TV on or off, channel switching, volume control, Child Lock for preventing unauthorized viewing, recall for returning to the last viewed channel, activating closed captioning and muting. Customers can choose to view and use the onscreen menu in English, Spanish or French; the TV offers a 181-channel tuner with channel scan.

Troubleshooting

If the Apex AT1302 does not switch on, or produces no picture nor sound, check the power cord and audio/video connectors to make sure they are plugged in properly. A snowy picture may indicate an improperly connected or defective cable or antenna. If there is no TV signal at all, try resetting the TV by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in and switching it on.
