Although you can compare products and prices on many websites, most of these companies have deals with retailers to feature certain items on the site. If you are looking for an unbiased site to compare product prices, then you will be interested in using PriceScan.
Instructions
1. Find the PriceScan homepage (see Resources below). You'll see that there are several search options to use when shopping for items.
2. Use the toolbar to search for an item or pick a category to browse through. Popular category choices include apparel, electronics, computers, toys and beauty products.
3. Review the "Find the Lowest Price On" option. Here you will find the lowest prices on items in all categories.
4. Choose the sub-category for the products that you want to compare. Once you choose the sub-category, your search results will be displayed.
5. Sort the products by price. Change the setting to display the search results from lowest to highest price. This way you can easily find out the best deals on the product.
6. Select "Check Prices" when you find an item that you are interested in buying. It will display all of the vendors that offer this item and their current product price. If you wish to purchase the item, there is a link that will lead you to the retailer's website.
