Copy Music To A Micro Sd Card

Favorite Tunes

Carrying your favorite music files with you from place to place can be done easily with a Micro SD card. It's small and compact size make it extremely useful when portability is a priority. It's smaller than a regular SD card and can be used in many portable devices such as cell phones, PDAs, and GPS systems.

Instructions

1. Insert your micro SD card into a compatible adapter that will instantly convert it into a standard SD card. After doing this, place the converted micro SD card into the SD card slot of your computer. If there's no SD card slot located on your computer system, there are various external card readers that can be purchased separately. These card readers can be connected to your computer system via a USB cable.

2. Browse through any files that are stored on the micro SD card. In order to free up some storage space, delete any unnecessary files that are currently on the micro SD card. When you're ready to copy music to the micro SD card, you'll have the chance to place the maximum number of songs allowed. Before you begin dumping your files, open them to make sure that they really aren't needed by you or someone else.

3. Locate the folder with the music files on your computer that you'd like to copy to the micro SD card. When choosing these music files, make sure that they are not copy protected. Music files that have this restriction on them are also known as DRM or Digital Rights Management music. There are a few music services that place restrictions on the songs that are sold to individuals. You'll be prevented from playing these music files on more than one device or even copied.

4. Select one or multiple music files to become part of the copy process. Once you've highlighted the desired music files, hold down your computer mouse and drag them to the micro SD card. Depending on the number of files you've chosen, your music will be copied to the micro SD card within a matter of minutes or seconds.

5. Eject the micro SD card from your computer system and remove it from the micro SD card adapter. Place the micro SD card into its original device such as a PDA or cell phone. Once you've inserted the micro SD card into another device, launch your music application and navigate to the newly copied music files. Test them to make sure that these music files successfully play on your device.
