Change Ink On A Kodak Esp3 Printer

Replace ink cartridges carefully to prevent a spill.

The Kodak ESP3 is an inkjet printer that can also scan and fax documents. The printer uses two ink cartridges, one for color and one for black copies, which can be removed and replaced with fresh cartridges in less than five minutes. The front control panel on the ESP3 features two LED lights, one for each cartridge, that blink slowly as the ink runs low, and more rapidly when each needs to be replaced.

Instructions

1. Turn on the Kodak ESP3 and raise the lid on the printer, then wait for the printer head to come to a halt in the center position.

2. Press down on the latch along the front edge of each cartridge, and lift upward on it to remove. The color cartridge is on the right.

3. Open the foil pouch containing the new cartridge and remove the orange cap from the bottom of the cartridge. The cap can be discarded.

4. Set the new cartridge in position on the printer head and push down on the front tab of the cartridge until it clicks into the locked position.

5. Close the printer cover and wait for the ready light on the front panel to illuminate, which could take up to a minute.
