The Polaroid A520 is a compact digital camera suitable for everyday use. The A520 comes equipped with 5 megapixels of resolution, 4x digital zoom, 16 MB of built-in memory and the capacity to capture video at resolutions of up to 640 x 480 pixels (AVI format). Once properly configured, the procedure for taking pictures with the Polaroid A520 digital camera is very straightforward.
Instructions
1. Turn on the camera by pressing and holding the power button until the LCD screen activates. Examine battery icon in the lower-right corner of the LCD screen; if the icon indicates that battery power is low, replace the batteries before proceeding.
2. Press the mode button until you see a camera icon appear on the LCD screen. Press the flash button to cycle through the available options. Choose the icon of a lightning bolt with a letter "A" to set the camera to automatically determine when to use the flash; choose the icon of a lightning bolt with no letter "A" to set the camera to always use flash; choose the icon of an eye to set the camera to use the flash for red-eye reduction; choose the icon of a lightning bolt in a circle with a line through it to disable the flash completely.
3. Press the timer button to set the self-timer, if desired; you may choose between a two-second and a ten-second delay before the camera will capture an image.
4. Press the "M" button and navigate to the "Image Size" menu option; choose the desired resolution for your saved image file and press "OK." Press "M" and navigate to the "Quality" menu option and select your desired quality level; press "OK." Press "M" and navigate to the "Exposure" menu option and set your desired exposure levels; press "OK."
5. Use the buttons in the top-right corner of the camera to zoom in and out on your chosen subject. Look through the viewfinder and frame your image as desired. Press down on the shutter button and wait for the beep. Examine the LCD screen to review the picture you have taken.
