Fix Your Etrex Legend

The Garmin eTrex Legend is a GPS navigation device for outdoors enthusiasts to use when walking, climbing, hiking or boating. The eTrex Legend provides information such as the user's current heading and the local elevation and temperature. The GPS is designed with a rugged case that can withstand dropping and shock; however, it is possible for the device to malfunction. For example, its screen may no longer display images or it may not respond to button presses. If this occurs, the GPS can be mailed to Garmin for repair.


Instructions


1. Notify Garmin's Technical Support department of the issue with your eTrex Legend. Contact a technician by calling 1-800-800-1020 or 913-397-8200. It is also possible to contact a technician via e-mail (see resources).


2. Copy the return material authorization (RMA) and dock numbers provided by the technician.You must include these numbers when returning the device.


3. Provide the eTrex Legend's serial number, your phone number and a return shipping address. If the device is found to be in warranty, the repair is free. If it is not in warranty, arrange for payment.


4. Send the eTrex Legend by mail to: Garmin International, 1200 E. 151st Street. Include the RMA and dock number on the following two lines, then write Olathe, KS 66062.
