Reset A Password On The Nortel Nam Phone System

The Nortel NAM phone system uses the Norstar voicemail service. This phone system is ideal for large businesses that deal with customer service or inbound calls. The Norstar voicemail service allows you to use up to 1,000 mailboxes. It also includes 100 hours of voicemail storage. For businesses that continue to grow, the NAM system has 16 expandable channels. You need to use a password every time you access the voicemail service. It is highly recommended that you reset your password for added security and safety.


Instructions


1. Enter feature "983." Look for "LOG" on the display screen. Enter your login password.


2. Select the soft key under "MBOX." Press the soft key under "CHNG."


3. Enter the mailbox number. The display screen shows "Reset Password."


4. Select the soft key under "RESET." Press the release key. Your temporary password will be "0000."


5. Repeat Step One to log in. The display screen will prompt you to change your password. Press the soft key under "OK," when satisfied.
