Troubleshoot Rca Dlp Tvs

DLP stands for digital light processing projection. These TVs produce a high-definition picture and are very popular among television enthusiasts. One major manufacturer of DLP TVs is RCA. There are some common problems that may occur with your RCA DLP TV. Before taking in your television in for repair, you can follow a few steps that may solve your problems.

Instructions

1. Replace the color wheel on your RCA DLP if you are experiencing a high-pitched noise when you turn on the TV. This is a common issue that users have reported. See additional resources for a link to purchase a new color wheel for your RCA TV.

2. Disconnect and then reconnect the video cables if you are experiencing a fuzzy or intermittent picture. Often, a loose cable will cause a less-than-perfect picture.

3. Disconnect and then reconnect the audio cables if you are experiencing a distorted or intermittent sound.

4. Perform a hard reset if the lights on your TV flash when you turn the TV on, but the TV will not turn on. To do this, turn the TV off, and unplug the TV from the power outlet. Let the TV sit for four hours and plug it back in.

5. Change the zoom or ratio rate on your RCA remote if the top of your picture is cut off. Navigate to the video setting, and try to zoom in or out.
