Canon Powershot Sd630 Tips

Canon PowerShot SD630

The Canon PowerShot SD630 is a compact camera capable of taking pictures at a six-megapixel resolution. Designed primarily for consumers who are looking for a portable camera to take with them on the go, the SD630 is packed with tons of features that make taking great pictures easy to do.

Auto-Focus

Use the auto-focus when taking pictures. Hold the shutter button halfway down to bring your subject into focus and then press the button the entire way to take a picture.

Scene Modes

Use the SD630's built-in scene modes to take better pictures under different conditions. Press the "Menu" button on the back of the camera and then select "Scene Settings" to select from the built-in choices. Scene settings in the SD630 include Snow, Beach, Underwater, Night Snapshot, and Fireworks.

Turn Off the Display

Turn the display off on your SD630 in order to conserve battery power. The LCD uses a tremendous amount of battery power. Turn the LCD off by pressing the "DISP" button on the back of the camera and use the traditional viewfinder to frame pictures to maximize the life of your batteries.

Self-Timer

Use the self-timer to get yourself in pictures. You activate the self-timer by pressing the icon on the back of the camera that looks like a broken circle. Then set your camera where you would like it to take a picture and press the shutter button. Once the shutter is pressed, you have ten seconds to get into the picture yourself before the image is captured.
