Disable Bluetooth In A Tomtom 720

The TomTom 720 Go GPS, or global positioning system, device guides users to a preset location or destination using visual and verbal directions. It features Bluetooth technology, which enables the TomTom to be paired with a Bluetooth speaker so the verbal directions can be heard through that speaker. To disable this option, simply select another option for hearing the directions.

Instructions

1. Hold down the "Power" button located on the top of the TomTom 720 GPS unit.

2. Press anywhere on the screen to access the main menu.

3. Tap the "Speaker Preferences" icon. The icon appears as a speaker with a small wrench in front of it.

4. Tap on the speaker you want to use for announcing directions. To disable the Bluetooth option, select any of the other three available options, aside from the "Bluetooth Device" option.

5. Select the speaker option for playing music, again selecting any option aside from the "Bluetooth Device" option.

6. Tap "Done" to confirm and save your new options. Since the Bluetooth option is not selected, it is currently disabled.
