1. Investigate the pre-paid plans offered by MetroPCS. The company has five different plans based on monthly usage needs. First choose the local calling plan or the local and long-distance plan. The monthly rate differs based on the accessories and additional features you decide you need.
2. Decide on the plan right for you, by considering the extra features they offer. They include text messaging, caller ID, voice mail, web access, email, picture messaging and AOL Instant Messaging.
3. Choose extra accessories like Blue Tooth headset, travel chargers and regular power cord. These are usually, though, a one-time fee and don't effect your monthly service. Once they're paid for on that first bill, they're yours to keep without additional charges.
4. Pay in advance using your credit or debit, which is set up on a monthly auto-pay schedule. There is no credit check, so the auto-pay system is the company's way of securing their services are paid for. You can also pay with check by mail or over the phone (for a fee), but keep in mind this must be in advance of receiving your monthly access.
5. Enjoy the benefits of unlimited local and national long-distance, as well as other common features without a credit check or the strangle-hold of a contract.
