Send Email On A Blackberry

Blackberry users have two primary options for setting up email: one for individuals and another for corporate accounts. Use Blackberry Internet Service if you purchased your Blackberry personally and wish to send and receive email messages from one or more new or existing email accounts. If your organization operates a corporate Blackberry Enterprise Server, check with your system administrator to set up your corporate email account.

Instructions

Set Up Your Email Account

1. Use your corporate email account or the default email account provided by your wireless provider, or add existing personal email accounts to your Blackberry. Blackberry allows you to add up to 10 supported personal email accounts for use with your Blackberry.

2. Click on "Profile" from your Blackberry Internet Service toolbar to begin adding your personal email accounts. Later, this same "Profile" page will allow you to manage email accounts.

3. Click the "Email Accounts" link from the "Profile" screen. A listing will appear showing the email addresses for which your Blackberry receives and sends email.

4. Click the "Add Account" button from the "Email Accounts" screen and follow the prompts to enter the email address you wish to add, as well as the account login and password that you use to sign in to that account.

5. Click the "Submit" button, and you will see the email account you have just added, next to the email account that came with your Blackberry wireless service. You may repeat this process to add up to 10 email accounts from supported email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOLMail, Nativeweb and others.

Send Email Directly From Your Blackberry

6. Prepare to send email by clicking on "Messages" from the Blackberry home screen.

7. Click on "Compose Email" and enter an email address, or simply select an address from your Address Book.

8. Compose your email message, type in a subject heading and click on "Send" with the track-wheel. Your message will be sent.

9. Follow the easy-to-use prompts on your screen to reply to emails, forward messages, save drafts, send messages to multiple contacts or add contacts to your address book.
