Save On Sprint Cellular Phone Bills

Many cell phone users overpay when it comes to cellular service simply because they don't understand all of the charges they are incurring and avoid many of those fees. From data plans to text messaging to minute usage types, there are literally dozens of ways you can save on your cellular services. If you shop around properly, you can even buy a Sprint phone for rock-bottom prices when you choose the right options with your contract.

Instructions

Saving Money with Your Sprint Phone

1. Monitor your data usage. If you surf the Internet sporadically, you may not need the unlimited data plan you're using. Check your actual data transfer cost versus your unlimited plan costs.

2. Determine your text messaging costs. Text message packages usually start at around $5 and end at around $20 for unlimited plans. If your $0.15 per text message is less than an unlimited plan, you can ditch your texting plan.

3. Get rid of data and text plans altogether if you don't use them. Many users will keep a $10 text plan on their devices even when they don't use it.

4. If you're using fewer minutes than your current plan allows, it's time to change to a lower-cost plan. For instance, if your plan allows 500 minutes and you use half that, you should switch to a lower-cost plan with fewer free minutes.

5. Watch your night and weekend minutes. If you don't need the earlier nights and weekends, look at removing that option from your cell phone plan to save $5 to $10 per month on average.

6. Combine plans if you have more than one single-plan line. Family plans are less expensive even if you double your family plan minutes. Share your minutes with family, and you'll save money.

7. Monitor your Sprint account for new plan offers. Wireless companies are often running new promotions for their existing and new customers. If you see a new customer plan and your contract is up, you can probably receive those minutes if you get the right representative on the phone. You may also find new plans for existing members that can save you money.
