Change The Date On Your Keychain Spy Camera

Keychain spy camera devices are small spy cameras that allow you to secretly record video and capture still images. Whenever you record a video or capture an image with one of these devices, the image or video is tagged with its date and time. If the date and time on the device is not accurate, however, this feature is useless. Since keychain spy cameras do not have any interface that allows you to change the date directly on the device, you must create a special text file that contains the accurate date and time, and save it in the camera's root folder.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button and move your mouse cursor over the "All Programs" option. Move your mouse cursor over the "Accessories" option and click the "Notepad" option to launch the program.

2. Click the File menu and select the "New" option to create a new document. Type the following code in the text document, adjusting time and date to current ones:

[date]

2011/11/18

12:00:00.

3. Click the File menu and select the "Save" option. Name the document "TAG" and click the "Save" button to save the document as "TAG.txt."

4. Connect the keychain spy camera to the computer via the USB connection cable that came with the device.

5. Click the "Start" button and select the "Computer" option. Double-click the spy camera's removable storage device icon to view its root folder.

6. Drag the TAG.txt file you created in Step 4 into the spy camera's root folder. Right-click on the camera's removable storage device icon and select the "Eject" option. Disconnect the camera from the computer.

7. Press and hold the power button to turn the spy camera on. Once the device is on, press and hold the power button to turn the device off. Once the device is off, press and hold the power button a third time to turn the device back on. Now, whenever you record something, the current date and time will be tagged.
