Put Mp3 Files From A Flash Drive To The Windows Media Player

A USB flash drive is a memory device commonly used to transfer files from one machine to another. Flash drives can hold any type of file and as many that will fit on the drive. You can transfer files from a flash drive to the Windows Media Player library after they've been copied to your computer's hard drive. Windows Media Player is the default media player for the Windows operating system. It supports MP3s and other commonly used audio formats.

Instructions

1. Insert the flash drive into any available USB port on your computer. Click "Open Folder to View Files" when the Autorun window opens. A folder containing all the files on the flash drive will open.

2. Drag and drop the MP3 files you want to add to Windows Media Player onto the desktop or other directory on your computer, such as My Documents. You can also right-click the MP3s you want to add, select "Send To" and click "Desktop" or "My Documents."

3. Open Windows Media Player. Click "Library." Click "Music." Drag and drop the MP3 files into the "Music" window. All MP3s will be categorized according to the artist, album and song title. If this information was not added to the MP3 beforehand, Windows Media Player will automatically search the Internet for the information and apply it the next time the file is opened.
