Peanut butter is high in fat and sugar, neither of which are good for a dog's health. There are several options to turn to instead of peanut-based treats, such as carrots and apple slices, or treats made of healthy products like salmon. If you do give your dog peanut butter, it is best to choose brands that are salt and sugar free.
