Transfer A Photo From A Canon Powershot Sd630 Camera To Your Computer

The Canon PowerShot SD630, which was released in 2006, works like any of Canon's digital point-and-shoot cameras when it comes to transferring photos to your Computer. Canon ships all of its cameras with special software to make transferring, editing and printing photos easier. This software is on the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disc.

Instructions

1. Disconnect your camera from your PC, or the software won't install correctly. Close all active programs and remove the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disc from its protective packaging.

2. Insert the Canon Digital Camera Solution CD-ROM into your computer's CD or DVD drive. The software on this disc, which came with the SD630, is only intended for use on Windows 98, Windows ME or Windows XP systems. Depending on your system's configuration, Windows may run the set-up program automatically. If you've turned off the Auto Run feature, open "My Computer," double-click on your CD drive and then double-click on "setup.exe" to load the program.

3. Click "Easy Installation" in the installer window to begin the setup program. The program warns you to close other programs. Click "Okay" to confirm that other programs are closed, and then click "Next" to install the selected components. The Canon software is automatically configured to install ZoomBrowser, which transfers files, PhotoStitch, which pieces together photos taken on panorama mode and ArcSoft Photolab, a graphic editing suite.

4. Click "Yes" after reading the license agreement to accept it and begin the installation. The program copies files to your system. Click "Restart" when the installation is complete to reboot your system.

5. Turn on your PowerShot SD630 camera and check that you have photos on the memory card (or that you have a memory card installed). Once the computer restarts, use the provided USB cable to connect the SD630 to the PC. Zoom Browser will recognize the camera now.

6. Click "Download Images from Canon Camera" in the "Auto Play" window that appears and then click "OK". You can also click the checkbox beside "Always do this for this device, and every time you connect the camera in the future, your PC will automatically download the images.

7. Click "Import Images from Camera" when ZoomBrowser loads and then select "Import all unimported images." The program scans your SD630 for any images that haven't been transferred to the ZoomBrowser library, which will be all of them if you've never used the software before. Click "OK" when the transfer is complete.
