My Casio Exz3 Digital Camera Lens Won'T Retract

The Casio EX-Z3 is a portable digital camera that is no longer produced by the electronics company. This is due to the camera's larger size and relatively small megapixel quality. The camera features a built-in, retractable lens that opens up when powering on. However, if the digital camera is not retracting as it should, you need to troubleshoot the device to determine what exactly is causing the problem.

Instructions

1. Power down the digital Casio EX-Z3 camera and leave it off for a moment. Turn it back on and wait for the lens to retract.

2. Change the camera to "View" mode (press the "Menu" button on the back of the camera). This automatically recalls the lens back into the camera as it is not needed.

3. Turn off the camera and remove the batteries. This performs a hard reset of the Casio EX-Z3. After a minute or two insert the batteries back into the digital camera, then power on the device. The lens should now retract.

4. Hold down the power button for several seconds. This forces the camera into a shut-down mode and retracts the camera's lens.
