Use Your Nikon Coolpix S610

The Nikon Coolpix S610 is a sleek point and shoot digital camera. The fast response time and multitude of shooting modes make this a sought after camera for the amateur or family photographer. Shooting with the S610 is a straightforward process once the camera is set up.


Instructions


1. Charge the EN-EL12 battery fully. Place the battery into the charging unit and connect the unit to a wall socket. When the indicator light on the charger glows steadily, the battery is ready for use.


2. Insert the EN-EL12 battery into the Coolpix S610 by opening the cover to the battery chamber on the bottom of the camera. Carefully slide the battery into place, making sure the contacts are facing in the correct direction.


3. Insert a freshly formatted SD memory card into the memory card slot, located in the battery compartment. Press the card into place until it clicks, and then close the battery compartment door.


4. Turn on the S610 by pressing the power switch located on the top of the camera. The switch will glow green briefly, and the unit will power on.


5. Select your shooting mode. The Nikon Coolpix S610 offers a variety of modes to cover many lighting situations and scenes.


6. Compose your image, and then press the shutter button half way to adjust the focus. Once the focus is adjusted to your subject, press the shutter button fully to take your picture.
