Night vision allows for finer details to be made out during low light condition.
Converting a day scope to night vision is possible if your mounting platform uses Picatinny rails. These are the ridged rails found on the sides of military rifles; they are also used on some camera mounting-platforms. The regular day scope is wrenched into position behind the night-vision scope so that they function as one. Your day scope will function the same as before, but with night-vision capabilities.
Instructions
1. Attach your day scope to its mounting platform. If the day scope has a holographic dot capability, replace its batteries.
2. Attach the night-vision mounting kit onto the firearm's foregrip. The forward ring slips onto the Picatinny rails like any other attachment. Attach the top rail onto the foreword ring; use the Allen wrench and Allen bolt that came with the kit. Tighten the bolt by hand to ensure you do not damage any parts with too much torque.
3. Slide the night-vision scope onto the newly installed forward rail. The eyepiece of the night-vision scope should be as close as possible to the lens of the day scope.
4. Wrap the attachment ring around the back of the night-vision scope and the front of the regular scope. Tighten the ring with an Allen wrench till there is no visible gap between the ring and the surface of the scopes.
5. Turn on the night-vision scope while in a dark room. Look through the day scope to ensure that the night scope is working properly. Shine a flashing light at the connecting ring to check for any light leaks. Tighten the ring with an Allen wrench if there are any leaks.
