Adobe Creative Suite is the industry standard graphic design and multimedia software package. Version 3 of the program was launched after Adobe's purchase of Macromedia, which means it also incorporated Macromedia's Flash and Dreamweaver into the suite. Because the suite is such a large collection of programs, it was broken down into categories to target specific audiences, including a design standard and premium category, a web standard and premium category and a master collection consisting of all the programs in the creative suite lineup.
Master Collection for Windows
The master collection contains 16 programs, including Acrobat, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Encore, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Soundbooth, Onlocation, Ultra, Bridge, Device Central, Stock Photos and Version Cue.
The minimum main specifications for Windows are: Intel Pentium 4, Intel Centrino, Intel Xeon, Intel Core Duo (or compatible) processor (SSE2-enabled processor required for AMD systems);
Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate (certified for 32-bit editions);
1GB of RAM or more recommended for DV; 2 GB of RAM or more recommended for HDV and HD; additional RAM is recommended when running multiple applications;
22 GB of available hard disk space to install all components (up to 1 GB of additional free space may be required during installation);
Dedicated 7200 RPM hard drive for DV and HDV editing; striped disk array storage (RAID 0) for HD, SCSI disk subsystem preferred;
1280 by 1024 monitor resolution with 32-bit video card; Some 3D features in Photoshop Extended require a DirectX 9 capable graphics card with at least 64 MB of VRAM; Adobe After Effects supported OpenGL 2.0 card (Nvidia recommended);
DVD-ROM drive.
Master Collection for Mac OS
The Mac program contains the same programs as the windows version.
The main specifications are as follows: Multi-core Intel processors required (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects also work on Power PC G4 or G5 processors);
Mac OS X v. 10.4.9;
1GB of RAM or more recommended for DV; 2 GB of RAM or more recommended for HDV and HD;
25.5 GB of available hard disk space to install all components (up to 1 GB of additional free space may be required during installation);
Dedicated 7200 RPM hard drive for DV and HDV editing; striped disk array storage (RAID 0) for HD, SCSI disk subsystem preferred;
1280 by 1024 monitor resolution with 32-bit video card; Adobe recommended graphics card for GPU-accelerated playback; For OpenGL support: OpenGL 1.4 capable graphics card with at least 64 MB of VRAM for some 3D features in Photoshop Extended; Adobe After Effects supported OpenGL 2.0 card (Nvidia recommended);

Design Standard for Windows
The Design Standard package contains: Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, Device Central, Stock Photos and Version Cue.

Mac OS X v.10.4.8, Java Runtime Environment 1.5 required for Version Cue Server;
1GB of RAM or more recommended;
5.3GB of available hard disk space (additional free space required during installation);
1,024 by 768 minimum monitor resolution with 16-bit or greater video card;
DVD-ROM drive.
