Synchronize An Iphone 3g

Smartphones function similarly to desktop computers in that they allow you to manage your productivity via calendars, email and task lists. Occasionally, your phone may crash or become damaged, causing you to lose phone numbers, messages and other stored data. You can ensure you keep track of vital information from your iPhone 3G by synchronizing data regularly. With iPhone 3G synchronization, contacts, emails, memos, and calendar information from your computer transfer to your phone so that you can access the information on the go.

Instructions

1. Insert the iPhone USB cable into the computer and attach the opposite end to the bottom of your iPhone.

2. Unlock your iPhone if synchronization does not begin within 30 seconds. Typically, the sync will begin immediately as the computer will detect an external device. ITunes will open to begin the sync.

3. Click "Yes" if prompted to install updates on your phone. These updates often help improve the functionality of your phone. Click on the name of your iPhone 3G device in the left menu pane to view the synchronization menu.

4. Click the categories you want to sync from the main menu. For example, you can opt to add new desktop email contacts to your phone or save space by leaving the information on your computer. Click "Sync" in the bottom right corner of the iTunes window on the computer once your preferences are set. Your iPhone 3G will sync using the preferences set in your main menu.
