Use A Fisheye Lens For A D40

A photo taken with a fisheye lens.

There are many different types of lenses for the Nikon D40, all of which possess their own unique traits and features. Yet, out of all the different Nikon lenses the Fisheye lens is one of the most unique. Fisheye lenses distort the incoming light to produce a bubbled image. The best part about these lenses though, is that there are no tricks to making them work. These lenses work the same as every other lens.

Instructions

1. Remove the currently attached lens. To remove the lens face the lens towards you, and press the button on the right side of the lens. With the button depressed carefully twist the lens until the white dot on the lens meets the white dot on the camera body. Carefully lift the lens out.

2. Remove the back lens cover of the Fish Eye lens.

3. Line up the white dot on the lens with the white dot on the camera body. Insert the lens with these two dots lined up. Carefully twist the lens counterclockwise until the lens no longer twists.

4. Remove the lens cap from the end of the newly attached lens.
