Apple's iPhone 3G--and cell phones in general--have improved the lives of users with the device's convenience and portability. Sometimes, however, you might find yourself in a situation where taking a call in the traditional manner isn't possible--i.e. driving. That's where a Bluetooth headset, such as those made by Jabra, can come in handy. And while the iPhone 3G is more technologically advanced than most cell phones, connecting it to a Jabra headset isn't any more difficult.
Instructions
1. Hold the "Answer/End" button on your Jabra Bluetooth headset down until the LED light on the headset turns solid blue. The location of the button may vary based on which headset you have, but its appearance will be the same; it is the button that has an image of a telephone on it.
2. Click on the "Settings" icon from the main screen of your iPhone 3G.
3. Click on "General" in your iPhone's "Settings" menu.
4. Click on "Bluetooth" to access your iPhone's Bluetooth menu and then click the option to turn on your iPhone's Bluetooth connection. Once your iPhone's Bluetooth is turned on, it will search for available Bluetooth devices.
5. Select your Jabra headset by clicking on the icon that appears on your iPhone's screen.
6. Enter the passkey for your Jabra Bluetooth headset. The default passkey on Jabra headsets is "0000."
7. Click on "OK" on your iPhone 3G to complete the connection to your Jabra headset.
