Fix your 32MB PS2 memory card so that you can continue to save game data.
The PlayStation 2 memory card is used for saving game data such as difficulty, progress, custom characters and controller settings. PS2 memory cards can be purchased in 32MB format. The PS2 memory card becomes unusable when the save data is corrupted. To fix the card you must clear it of all corrupt data files.
Instructions
1. Insert the PlayStation 2 memory card into memory card slot one, located above the first controller port.
2. Turn on the PS2 console by pressing the button on the back, then remove the game/CD/DVD disc from the system.
3. Select "Browser" from the menu by pressing the "X" button on the PS2 controller.
4. Select the memory card icon by highlighting it, pressing the "X" button on the controller in the process.
5. Select the corrupted file (it should look like a blue cube icon and the browser will signify it as corrupted) and choose the "Delete" option to remove it from your PS2 memory card. Repeat for each individual corrupted file. Your PS2 memory card is now fixed.
