Use A Minolta Maxxum 7000

Unlike digital cameras, the Maxxum 7000 shoots photos with film.

Minolta offers the Maxxum 7000 as a professional quality film camera which features auto focus as well as a LCD screen that provides information regarding the different camera shooting modes. The Minolta Maxxum 7000 runs off of four AAA batteries. The Maxxum 7000 also features a removable lens which helps to focus when shooting close ups. Opening the film cartridge in the middle of a roll of film can overexpose the film and ruin the photos.

Instructions

1. Loosen the battery cartridge, located to the left of the lens on the outer edge, with the side of a small coin. Move the coin in a counterclockwise direction. Pull out the battery holder. Insert four AAA batteries into the battery holder. Insert the loaded battery holder back into the Maxxum 7000. Tighten the battery holder screw with the edge of the coin.

2. Turn the switch located on the back of the camera to the On setting. Press the button in the middle of the back cover and slide the release down to open the cover. Insert the film cartridge into the film compartment located on the left.

3. Pull the tip of the film just past the red indicator. Connect the edge of the film to the metal teeth located on the right. Close the back cover of the Maxxum 7000. Check the LCD screen to confirm the bottom left hand Film display shows a number one.

4. Hold the camera steady while looking through the eye hole of the Minolta Maxxum 7000. Hold the camera horizontally and vertically to test the framing options before shooting the photo. Center the subject of the photo and slowly press the operating button, located to the top left of the camera lens, to shoot a photo.

5. Locate the Rewind button directly to the right of the eye hole. Press down on the rewind button and slide it to the left after the camera beeps to indicate it has used the last frame of the film.

6. Press the button in the middle of the back cover and slide the release down when the LCD screen shows a zero under the Film display. Open the back cover of the Minolta 7000. Remove the film cartridge from the film compartment.
