Kodak digital camera
Digital cameras offer you more freedom than a traditional film camera. You can just download the pictures to your computer and save the ones you want. You can always print out the keepers for scrapbooking projects or memory books. If you are a beginning photographer, you may be worried about get your digital pictures from your camera to the computer screen.
Instructions
1. Find the version of Windows that you are using. You will need to know which operating system you are using to download the correct software for your computer. For a Windows computer, click on "Start." Then click on the run or search feature. Type "winver" in the box and press "OK." A screen will pop up telling you whether you are running Windows XP, Vista or ME.
2. Get the software. Your Kodak digital camera probably came with a CD of the software to help you download your pictures to your computer. If you don't have the CD you can download the program from the official Kodak site. Read the notes for your operating system. There are special instructions to make it work with Windows Vista. Kodak software also supports Mac computers. Click on the download link that coordinates with your operating system and save it to your computer. Find the icon in your download manager and click on it again to install the Kodak Camera Manager. The installation will let you choose a language as well as where you want the software to be installed. You'll also have to accept a license agreement. Restart your computer.
3. Connect the computer cable to your Kodak digital camera. Plug the other end of the cable into the USB port of your computer. The USB port is usually located on the side or back of your computer and looks like a rectangle.
4. Start the Kodak Easyshare Software. Depending on your settings the Kodak software might detect your camera and start the program automatically. If it doesn't start automatically then find the Kodak Easyshare Software in your start menu and open the program.
5. Import your pictures to download them from your Kodak camera to your computer. Make sure that your camera is turned on.
