Unlock A Psp Memory Card

Unlock a PSP Memory Card

The Sony PSP comes with a memory stick that allows you to save your game data. You can also place music, movies and photos on the memory stick to be viewed on the PSP. If you are experiencing write errors that prevent you from removing or adding files onto the memory stick, your memory stick is locked and there is a simple way of unlocking it.

Instructions

1. Turn off your Sony PSP and wait until the PSP is completely booted off. This is important because, like a computer, you never want to remove a disk or hard drive without properly ejecting it.

2. Open the PSP memory stick slot on the left-side of the device. It pops down and open. You will see your memory stick inside of the slot.

3. Push the memory stick in slightly and it will click and pop back out. Remove the memory stick. Locate the "Lock" slider on the back of the memory stick and slide it to the right using your fingernail. The memory stick is now unlocked.

4. Place the memory stick back into the PSP and close the memory stick slot. You will be able to go on using your memory stick as you normally would.
