Produce Your Own Motivational Cd

Friends, family and complete strangers hang on your every word. Some say fears and challenges evaporate like smoke when placed into your capable hands, turning their inability to realize dreams and promises into personal success stories. You've known for decades that your perspectives and philosophical outlook have transformed the way others think and behave. spread your word? Produce a motivational CD so more listeners get the kind of help those closest to you have already received.

Instructions

1. Synthesize your motivational advice down to a written series of sub-topics to organize the way your material is presented in script format. Include uplifting and inspiring language and messaging. Check every fact you include in your text.

2. Strip away negatives and make enthusiasm and hope the essence of your gospel. Add slogans, guided imagery and quotes designed to stay with listeners long after your CD is removed from their player. End your script by challenging listeners to do what they most feared, giving them reasons they can't afford to wait any longer to make changes. Ask an editor or teacher friend to vet your script once it's complete to spot potential errors.

3. Keep your audience at the forefront of the brain--speaking directly to just one person--when you rehearse your script. Tell stories. Recall metaphors. Emphasize success. Develop a delivery pace that's full of energy--one that allows your motivational message to resonate with listeners. Hire a coach to critique your delivery if you feel you need unbiased feedback on any aspect of your presentation.

4. Rent a sound studio to master your motivational CD. Hire engineering pros to set up the sound stage so headphones, microphone, noise blockers and a comfortable chair are positioned for optimal recording. Expect to spend at least one full day in the studio--probably more--to complete multiple takes. Work with the sound editor to synthesize your recorded material down to the CD's predetermined run time.

5. Meet with a CD jacket designer. Provide the copywriter with excerpts from your script, the title you've chosen, a list of credits and other album notes. Supply the writer with testimonials from those whose lives you have changed, but make sure you have permission, in the form of a release, from those whose quotes appear on the jacket.

6. Turn to the task of marketing your motivational CD. Mail copies of the recording to newspaper, TV, radio and on-line media. Include a cover note explaining your mission to promote your message. Call on retail stores. Offer discount pricing to shopkeepers selling your CD. Launch a website for direct sales. As orders flow in, start thinking about your next motivational CD.
