Fix Logitech Headphones

Logitech's wide range of headphones and headsets are a popular type of computer audio equipment. Often, they have built-in microphones that allow you to use the headphone as an audio input device. Logitech products are generally reliable, but like any other electronic device, they may not always work as expected. If your Logitech headphones are not working quite right, you can try a few simple fixes before considering having them repaired or replaced.

Instructions

1. If you are speaking into the microphone and aren't being recorded or heard, check the settings in the program you're using. Set your Logitech model as the default audio device.

2. Verify that your Logitech headphones are the default audio device in your computer's settings. Search for "Manage Audio Devices" in the "Start" search box, choose the "Recording" tab and select your headphone model from the list to set it as the default device to use for recording.

3. Check to see if your headphones are still within Logitech's warranty period if your headphones are giving bad sound quality. This is likely a manufacturing issue with the headphones themselves. Information about your warranty can be found on Logitech's website (see Resources) or in the documentation originally packaged with your headphones.

4. Contact Logitech to have your headphones exchanged or repaired, if you are still within the warranty period.
