Format A Micro Sd Hc

Micro SDHC cards are used with electronic devices such as digital cameras.

Micro SDHC (secure digital high capacity) cards are extremely small storage cards used with electronic devices. They range in size from 4GB to 32GB, providing a large amount of extra storage space for your electronic devices. When you first purchase a Micro SDHC card, it may not have the correct file system to be compatible with your electronic device. You can, however, format the Micro SDHC card to change the file system.

Instructions

1. Insert the Micro SDHC card into the Micro SD-to-SD card adapter.

2. Insert the SD card adapter into the SD card reader.

3. Plug the SD card reader into your computer with the computer running.

4. Open "Computer Management" on your computer by clicking "Start," "Control Panel," "System and Maintenance," Administrative Tools" and "Computer Management."

5. Click "Disk Management" under "Storage." This is located in the left column.

6. Locate the SD card reader, which should be listed under "Drives." Right-click the SD card reader and select "Format."

7. Click the "File System" drop-down menu and select "FAT32." High-capacity SD cards must be formatted into the FAT32 file system in order to work with most electronic devices.

8. Click "Start" button to format the SD card.
