Instructions
HTC Touch Pro
1. Access the HTC Web site (See Resource 1) and press the "Support" tab.
2. Click the scroll tab underneath the "Choose Your Product" heading and choose HTC Touch Pro.
3. Scroll down and click "Download" under the "Hotfix for Resolving Difficulties Finding or Locating Position" heading.
4. Scroll down the page and click on the scroll bar under the "Please Select the File Most Suitable For Your Device." There will only be one option titled: "Hotfix for Resolving difficulties locating GPS."
5. Click the scroll bar under the "Please Select a Location Closest to You" heading and choose your closest location.
6. Press "Download" and save the application onto your desktop. Once the download is complete, press "Start," "My Computer," and then double-click your HTC Touch icon.
7. Click and drag the application onto the HTC Touch Pro. Disconnect your phone from the USB cord.
8. Tap the new "HotFix" icon on your phone to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions by pressing "Next" and "Finished" to complete the GPS fixing update.
HTC Diamond
9. Access the HTC Web site (See Resource 2) and press the "Support" tab.
10. Click the scroll tab underneath the "Choose Your Product" heading and choose HTC Diamond.
11. Scroll down and click "Download" under the "Hotfix for Resolving Difficulties Finding or Locating Position" heading.
12. Scroll down the page and click on the scroll bar under the "Please Select the File Most Suitable For Your Device." There will only be one option titled: "Hotfix for Resolving difficulties locating GPS."
13. Click the scroll bar under the "Please Select a Location Closest to You" heading and choose your closest location.
14. Press "Download" and save the application onto your desktop. Once the download is complete, press "Start," "My Computer," and then double-click your HTC Touch icon.
15. Click and drag the application onto the HTC Diamond. Disconnect your phone from the USB cord.
16. Tap the new "HotFix" icon on your phone to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions by pressing "Next" and "Finished" to complete the GPS fixing update.
