Use A Finepix A345 Camera

The FujiFilm A345 is an easy-to-use digital camera capable of taking high quality photos.


The FujiFilm A350 is a point-and-shoot digital camera with a range of simple functions designed to allow anyone to take photos quickly and easily. It features a 5.2-megapixel CCD image sensor, 3x optical zoom, full auto focus, flash with red eye reduction setting and several shooting modes. It's easy to achieve great results by following a few basic steps.


Instructions


Taking Photographs


1. Load the batteries and memory card. Hold the camera upside-down with the lens cover facing you. Open the battery compartment. Slide the compartment door to the right then flip it vertically. Insert two AA batteries. The leftmost battery must be inserted with the positive terminal facing downwards. The rightmost battery must be inserted with the positive terminal facing upwards. Insert the xD picture card. Align the gold contact are on the card with the gold marking on the card. Push the card firmly into the card slot. Close the compartment door. Turn the camera on. Press the power button on top of the camera.


2. Set the shooting mode to auto. Slide the mode switch on the back of the camera to its rightmost position. This is marked with an icon of a camera.


3. Compose the shot. Hold the camera securely with both hands. Use the built in LCD screen or the viewfinder to frame your subject. Zoom in or out. Press the up arrow button to zoom in. Press the down arrow button to zoom out. Position the subject. Ensure the subject you want to focus on is located in the center of the frame. Press the shutter button half way down. A double beep sound is emitted. The camera auto focuses on the subject. A flash symbol appears on the LCD screen if the camera determines that the flash is required.


4. Take the shot. Press the shutter button fully down. A single beep sound is emitted. The flash may fire. The camera takes the photograph and stores it to the memory card.


5. Review the shot. Set the mode to playback. Slide the mode switch to its leftmost position. This is marked with a right-facing triangle icon. Press the left arrow button to view the last photo taken.


Shooting Movies


6. Load the batteries and memory card. Hold the camera upside-down with the lens cover facing you. Open the battery compartment. Slide the compartment door to the right then flip it vertically. Insert two AA batteries. The leftmost battery must be inserted with the positive terminal facing downwards. The rightmost battery must be inserted with the positive terminal facing upwards. Insert the xD picture card. Align the gold contact are on the card with the gold marking on the card. Push the card firmly into the card slot. Close the compartment door. Turn the camera on. Press the power button on top of the camera.


7. Set the camera to movie mode. Side the mode switch to its center position. This is marked with a video camera icon.


8. Compose the scene. Hold the camera securely with both hands. Use the LCD screen or the viewfinder to frame your first shot. Ensure the subject is in the center of the frame. Zoom in or out. Press the up arrow button to zoom in on the subject. Press the down arrow button to zoom out. This must be done before filming starts.


9. Shoot the movie. Press the shutter button fully down and then release it. Filming begins. Press the shutter button again to stop recording. The camera stores the movie on the memory card. Filming stops automatically if the memory card becomes full.


Storing Images On A Computer


10. Load the memory card. Hold the camera upside-down with the lens cover facing you. Open the battery compartment. Slide the compartment door to the right then flip it vertically. Insert the xD picture card. Align the gold contact are on the card with the gold marking on the card. Push the card firmly into the card slot. Close the compartment door.


11. Connect the camera to AC power. Plug the supplied AC power adapter into the "DC 3V IN" socket. Connect the power adapter to a power outlet.


12. Select USB mode. Press the "MENU/OK" button. Press the left and right arrow buttons to select "SET" option. Press the up and down arrow buttons to select "SET-UP." Press "MENU/OK" button. Press the right arrow button to highlight option 4. Press the down arrow button to select "USB Mode." Press the left and right arrow buttons to select DSC Mode. This is displayed as an icon of a memory card and a double-headed arrow. Press "MENU/OK" button. Turn the camera off.


13. Connect the camera to your PC. Insert the small jack on the USB cable into the USB port on the camera. Insert the large jack on the USB cable into a spare USB port on your computer. Turn the camera on.


14. Transfer images. Open "My Computer." An icon named "Removable Disk" should appear. Double-click on this icon. Drag and drop image files from this folder to a folder on your computer. Right click on "Removable Disk" and choose "Eject." Turn the camera off. Disconnect the USB cable.


Printing Photographs


15. Load the memory card. Hold the camera upside-down with the lens cover facing you. Open the battery compartment. Slide the compartment door to the right then flip it vertically. Insert the xD picture card. Align the gold contact are on the card with the gold marking on the card. Push the card firmly into the card slot. Close the compartment door.


16. Connect the camera to AC power. Plug the supplied AC power adapter into the "DC 3V IN" socket. Connect the power adapter to a power outlet.


17.Select USB mode. Press the "MENU/OK" button. Press the left and right arrow buttons to select "SET" option. Press the up and down arrow buttons to select "SET-UP." Press "MENU/OK" button. Press the right arrow button to highlight option 4. Press the down arrow button to select "USB Mode." Press the left and right arrow buttons to select printer mode. This is displayed as an icon of a printer and a double-headed arrow. Press "MENU/OK" button. Turn the camera off.


18. Connect the camera to your printer. Insert the small jack on the USB cable into the USB port on the camera. Insert the large jack on the USB cable into the USB port on your printer.


19. Print the photo. Slide the mode switch to its leftmost position. This is marked with a triangle icon. Turn the camera and printer on. The LCD screen displays a "Checking USB" message. After a short while a menu appears. Press the down arrow button to select either "Print With Date" or "Print Without Date." Press "MENU/OK." Press the left and right arrow buttons to select the photograph you want to print. Press the up and down arrow buttons to specify how many copies you want to print. Press "MENU/OK." The picture data is sent to the printer and the photo is printed. "Printing" is displayed on the camera's LCD screen. When printing has finished, turn the camera off. Disconnect the USB cable.
