2. If you are comfortable browsing the Internet, you can also go to the company's web site to find cost of different deals (see link below).
3. Check whether the equipment is free. DirecTV has various packages that offer free equipment. However, these packages may require a minimum commitment.
4. Check if installation is free, as many current specials offer free installation.
5. DirecTV offers base packages. Additional programming is also available but at an extra cost. As you select your package and additional programming, the DirecTV website will calculate total startup costs as well as the first month's cost for you.
6. Check if you need any additional equipment. Standard equipment, as mentioned above, may be available free. However, advanced equipment such as the DirecTV Plus DVR would cost extra.
