Replace The Battery On A G1 Phone

The G1 is a phone that is offered by the United States cellular provider T-Mobile. The phone itself is produced by HTC and the operating system is Android by Google. It is ideal for power cell phone users who require a phone capable of multitasking, while also offering some strong entertainment options. However, the G1 is not immune from the battery drain that is inherent in any cell phone, so it will be necessary to replace the battery after an extended period of time. Fortunately, this task can be completed with only a few steps.

Instructions

1. Turn off your phone by holding the red "End Call" button, then selecting the "Power Off" option from the pop-up window.

2. Slide the touch screen up to reveal the keyboard.

3. Open the back compartment by pressing on the tab next to the letter "Q," then pulling the cover away from the phone.

4. Remove the battery from the compartment by lifting it from its slot. The battery is the large black rectangle in the middle of the compartment.

5. Insert the new battery in the now-empty space. The battery will only fit in one way.

6. Replace the battery compartment cover. It will snap into place, but be sure to press around the edges of the cover to ensure that the cover fits securely.
