Online answering machines offer more features than the physical answering machines. Features include more mailboxes, the ability to record special messages for calls coming from certain numbers, ability to block telemarketing calls and the ability to forward messages to your email account. You can download your online answering messages easily so you have access to them without having to log on.
Instructions
1. Decide on a location to save your answering machine messages. You can use removable media such as CDs or you can save them to your computer's hard drive. Make sure that your removable media has enough space and is working.
2. Select or create a folder on your computer where you will save your messages. Be sure that the folder is in a location that you can get to easily.
3. Go to the location where your answering machine messages have been saved. The online answering machine program can forward your messages to your email account. The messages are saved as .wav audio files.
4. Select the message you want to save and right click on it. Select "File" from the program's menu and then select "Save as" from the submenu. Select the location in which you want to save your message.
5. Be aware that you can only save one message at a time.
